The Reference Series Mingo Editions sit at the summit of the legacy of the founder of Baetis Audio, the late John Mingo. To honour the many achievements of John, we set out to produce the finest Baetis Audio system possible. While all the components used in our latest Reference 4 units couldn’t be improved upon, there were additions one could make to take the audio experience to the highest possible level.
The Mingo Edition comes with a JCAT XE network card, which improves upon the on-board ethernet by filtering out the noise that network connections can cause. This can further be enhanced by employing optical network isolation, which we can certainly help you achieve. The result is that the electrical noise in the entire system is reduced, improving the sonic results.
The Mingo+ Edition adds a JCAT XE or an SOtM USB card for the best USB outputs in the industry. These come with iFi low-noise external power supplies (as does the JCAT network card), or you can choose to use the linear power supply with custom DC cables.
The Mingo Editions have the most analog-sounding, live-feeling, euphoria-inducing sound we have ever produced. If your DAC has specialised native DSD circuitry, such as the T+A DAC 200, then our optional HQPlayer option for the Mingo+ Edition (or any Baetis with an optional USB output) will take you to never before-achieved heights in audio bliss.
